I'd posted my "Update" before checking your link. The tufting might be temporary, may be related to breeding or the season. Of course, other thatn that, it looks nothing like yours. With over 1200 species just in Australia alone there is going to be a considerable amount of variation. The long antennae, the kidney shaped eyes wrapped around the antennal bases, the tibial spurs, all of which can be seen on your specimen, all suggest a longicorn of some kind.Mosurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14786494432479216149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6844945516012136579.post-33253379060868947832008-10-12T07:50:00.000+11:002008-10-12T07:50:00.000+11:00Must be that time of year, I just posted one on a ...Must be that time of year, I just posted one on a longicorn too. I found none with tufts and the majority were described as having antennal spines of some sort. I will keep searching. :-)Junior Lepidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07934608116254869924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6844945516012136579.post-40319971926535323382008-10-11T21:31:00.000+11:002008-10-11T21:31:00.000+11:00Obviously a Longicorn but can't say more than that...Obviously a Longicorn but can't say more than that.
